Show & Prove Super Bowl (MON. 7/11)
Show & Prove is a showcase of independent Hip-Hop talent. Winners of 3 prelims from the Show & Prove series will compete at the Show & Prove Super Bowl for the opportunity to open up on the Main Stage on July 16th.

“Under The Influence” Art Event (TUES. 7/12)
Under The Influence is a curated Art Gallery showing of New York City’s most established and up-and-coming street artists, graffiti kings, and Hip Hop photographers. Jamel Shabazz will be signing copies of his Back In The Days Remix 10th Anniversary Edition book. Read the official press release on “Under The Influence” here.
Bodega Education Initiative (WED. 7/13)
This year BEI’s theme is to go Beyond The Mic. Along with an emcee workshop, this day-long event will feature roundtable conversations on a variety of topics such as: Hip-Hop journalism, entrepreneurship and the role of gender and sexuality in Hip-Hop. Check out pictures of the event.
Salute The DJ (THURS. 7/14)
In our continued efforts to honor the backbone of Hip-Hop – The DJ- this edition of Salute The DJ will feature a memorable line-up that includes Marley Marl who will be paying tribute to Mr.Magic, inventor of the scratch Grand Wizzard Theodore, Twilite Tone, Chairman Mao, Roli Rho, Mista Sinista and Getlive. Bodega Recognition Awards (FRI. 7/15)
As we ramp up for the big day on Saturday we will host the Bodega Recognition Awards to recognize and celebrate positive contributions to Hip Hop Music and Culture. Awards will be given for best Independent MC/DJ, best Event Producer, best Streetwear Line and best Independent Record Label, among many others. Nominees include Summer Stage, Jake Paine, The Smoking Section and XXL. Read a list of Award Winners here.
Family Day & Tobacco Warehouse (SAT. 7/16)
This “block party” celebrates the core message of Hip-Hop: social change and individual empowerment. The Tobacco Warehouse will also host the Estria graffiti battle and a newly added 2nd stage. Brooklyn Bridge Stage (SAT. 7/16)

After Party (SAT. 7/16)
Come and end the Brooklyn Hip-Hop festival with a bang at the official afterparty at Southpaw.
Come join us as we rock nothing but the finest beats, rhymes, breaks and grooves to end BHF ’11 week featuring a production set by The Stuyvesants, DJ sets by Ali Shaheed Mohammad and Evil Dee.
Special guests invited including the entire BHF ’11 lineup.
