The Bodega and Festival staff consists of over 50 individuals who work in various phases from planning to marketing to execution. Bodega designers create all marketing tools. Writers create all the copy. Web designers create and maintain the online presence from the informational site to the social networks. Our Documentation Crew captures photos, film and video. The Production Team handles all details from permits to staging to port-a-potty's The Festival marketing execution will be supported by a team of experienced project managers and account reps with a wide range of experience.

The leader of our team is Festival Founder and Executive Director, Wes Jackson. Wes is also the president of Brooklyn Bodega, producer of the Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival and The Room Service Group, the firm that handles all marketing executions. Wes has over 15 years experience as an entrepreneur and innovator in the music business. His career began producing concerts for Nas, The Roots, The Dave Matthews Band and De La Soul. He then went on to start his own promotions company, Seven Heads Promotions which was instrumental in launching the careers of Mos Def, Talib Kweli and others.

Ebonie Jackson

Ebonie handles the nuts and bolts of the Bodega and the Festival. She is a Columbia MBA grad with over 10 years of experience in corporate America. Ebonie spent her early career at JP Morgan Chase where she rose to the position of Vice President. She left corporate America to start a family and build the family business.

Many do not realize that Wes and Ebonie are a true team and the Bodega is a real family business. The two native New Yorkers met in college at The University of Virginia and have been married for 9 years. They have and have two beautiful children. As their parents say "A kid from the Bronx and a girl from Queens went all the way down to Virginia to meet."
