About the Brooklyn hip-Hop Festival

At the Brooklyn Bodega we take a very liberal and intellectual view of Hip-Hop. Hip-Hop is more than music; it’s fashion, politics, sports, philosophy, journalism, publishing, web design, technology, visual art, digital art, sculpture, graffiti, dance, DJ’ing, producing, and activism. In its sixth year the BHF will continue to reflect the full range of Hip-Hop culture. We want to celebrate it all.

This years festival will take place between July 5th- July 10th, 2010.

The new week long format features a showcase of independent local, national and international talent, panels, film, theater, and of course Main Day performances, and the Family Day Block Party. All events are held throughout Brooklyn from Williamsburg to DUMBO.
