They’ve been with us since the beginning. It’s only right that Brooklyn Brewery return another year to celebrate our 12th Anniversary Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival as a long-time sponsor. Located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, the brewery celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2013. Steve Hindy and Tom Potter founded the company in 1987 in the name of quality, hand-crafted, local beer. The Brewery was kind enough to extend their parking lot as the location for the first ever Brooklyn Bodega Hip-Hop Festival back in 2005. Professional Preparatory Charter School is a highly innovative charter school located in Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. TFOA originally served Kindergarten and First graders, when founded and opened in August 2011, on the 3rd floor of PS/IS 308. This school year (2014-2015), we now serve Grades K thru 4, and intend to expand to 5th grade by school year 2015-2016.

The 1980s gave birth to the signature basketball shoe as many players received their own shoe model from companies, and in 1989 Patrick Ewing took it one step further, becoming the first professional basketball player to have his own shoe company. The first model he wore briefly for the 1989 season was the Rebound, but the first main release from the company was the 33 HI. This shoe would go on to become a huge seller, becoming a street staple in NYC, and eventually becoming a favorite in Europe and Asia as well. In the 2000′s as the Internet Age dawned, there became a huge online cult following and demand increased for vintage Ewing shoes from all over the world and in 2012 Patrick has relaunched Ewing Athletics. Our goal is to cater to our core fans who want the original models produced true to form, with authenticity and with respect to the heritage of the line.
Tropical Fantasy was born in Brooklyn, New York, during the 80s. It achieved great success in the 1990s, with its line of sodas and fruit juices, becoming a staple in the childhood of many New Yorkers. Tropical Fantasy eventually became connected with urban culture, action sports, street arts, and hip-hop.
Tropical Fantasy is bottled by a family-owned beverage manufacturer called Brooklyn Bottling Group, which has bottled seltzers since 1936.
To celebrate its new line of Aloe Vera drinks, Tropical Fantasy has created the “Tropical Fantasy New Flavors of Hip Hop Award” to support up-and-coming artists. The winner will be announced on stage, on July 16th, at the Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival.
