The Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival would not be possible without the help of the hundreds of dedicated volunteers who donate their time, energy and creativity every year to produce the largest music festival in the five boroughs. Volunteers are the public face of Brooklyn Bodega, who work on a wide variety of projects during the Festival. Opportunity awaits at this unique organization!

REQUIREMENTS & BENEFITS:
Volunteers can choose between two different levels of commitment: Sign-Up or Production (described below). In short, the Sign-Up program offers flexible scheduling for day-of only volunteers. Production volunteers assist in the production process, marketing, publicity, sales, sponsorships, graphic design and more. Required to begin immediately and jump onto plan.
SIGN -UP VOLUNTEERS (Festival Staff, on site personnel)
Commit to a minimum total of 16 volunteer hours, sign up for more hours as you want.
Attend New Volunteer Orientation Sessions and one training meeting
On any event day that you volunteer, you get into the festival for free.
Volunteers who volunteer for a minimum of 16 hours during the Festival dates receive a T-shirt and Gift.
Close out the 2010 Festival with free admission to the After Party.
Meeting and networking with a crew of great people.
BHF STAFF
Brooklyn Bodega Interns
Seeking interns to work with Senior Bodega staff in all areas. Projects range from handling e-commerce invoices and shipments, assisting marketing efforts, production plan materials, general office assistance and more. There is a wide range of growth for this position if you can handle diving into new projects with ease and enthusiasm.
Videography Team
Capture behind the scenes footage leading up to the BHF, backstage antics and on stage performances. Working together, the team will also continue to work together beyond the festival, editing footage and creating a pre-conceived festival DVD. Must have own equipment.

GENERAL INFORMATION
Volunteers work throughout the Festival in all areas, and are required to commit to at least three shifts which generally will range from three to six hours, depending on department assignment.
Many positions are outdoors and require walking across the Festival Grounds. Dress comfortably and appropriately. Don't forget things like comfy shoes, sunscreen, hats, rain gear, etc.
Volunteers receive meal vouchers and breaks during assigned shifts.
Bring only what you need. We are limited on personal storage space – so small bags, please!
